DARLINGTON — Robert L. Gwinn, 60, of Lafayette, a native of Darlington, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Mr. Gwinn was a retired employe of the grounds department at Purdue University. He retired in June due to failing health. He was a member of Archibald Memorial for the Deaf and attended Indianapolis Deaf School. Born Aug. 10, 1915, he was a son of Ernest and Callie Gwinn. He was married to Marilyn Poole on June 2, 1957. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Carrie Largent; three daughters, Janet, Joan and Jane Gwinn of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Fruits of Indianapolis; three brothers, Roscoe "Jack" Gwinn of Greenville, William Largent of Crawfordsville and Leonard Largent of West Lebanon; and an aunt, Grace Hutchens of Crawfordsville. A brother, Carl Largent Jr., is deceased. Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Landis-Loy Funeral Home at Lafayette with the Rev. Leonard Largent officiating. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. today.--waw
